God knows the integrity of your heart, your motives and intentions!
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it?." Jeremiah stating to God found in Book of Jeremiah 17 verses 9. God's response, "I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind. Even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings."
Be mindful of this, God knows your true character, especially when we are "covering up" to impress others. How do we cover up? By attaching ourselves to evil spirit. Expound? To mask low-self esteem, we may "cover it up" with a spirit of arrogance. To mask hatred, we may "cover it up" with a spirit of deceit.
Okay...what should we do instead?
Simple. Ask.
In Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart; O God, renew a right spirit within me." (KJV)
We have to be WILLING to release the evil spirit "covering up" whatever we struggle with and ALLOW the HOLY SPIRIT to tell us and show us HOW!
