Affirmations

What are affirmations?  Affirmations are POSITIVE proclamations and declarations that one agrees to regarding actions in their lives. A biblical-based affirmation is agreeing with the Word of God.  For example.  Here is the scripture...

1 Peter 2:9 KJV

But ye are a chosen, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;

AFFIRMATION: I AM APART OF A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, AN HOLY NATION, A PECULIAR PEOPLE; THAT I SHOULD SHOW FORTH THE PRAISES OF HIM WHO HATH CALLED ME OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT.

You are simple inserting your name or "first person" in the scripture.  Why is this significant? Well if you believe in the word of God, you believe EVERYTHING He has said concerning you.

 In Proverbs 18:21 states, death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Well if you believe in the word of God, you believe EVERYTHING He has said concerning you.
This is the notion of speaking life over yourself or coming in agreement. Let's just sit back and watch God do His thing!

Be Blessed in the name of Jesus.

What is God speaking to you about? Part. 1

12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
18 Then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
What are you asking God for? As it pertains to the text, Solomon asked God to dwell in the temple of Jerusalem. And God answers Him. In Chronicles 6, shows Solomon's prayer.
Is God giving more than a "yes" or " no" response regarding your prayer request.  What are the details of His response?  Are there any conditions or statutes that you must uphold? How is God's answer benefiting you and other people?  Just something to think about. We aim to please the Lord in all that we do. Let us listen carefully to God's responses.

He Is The Great I Am

Who does God say He is?

Moses asked the question to God, of course I am paraphrasing...you want me to go to Egypt and tell your people they will be delivered, and who am I going to say who sent me?

And God said unto Moses,  I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exodus 3:14

Isn't that powerful?  What has God personally done for you?  Do you know the Great, I AM, has called you to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, deny yourself, and take up your cross (Luke 9:23)?

Do you know the Great, I am has appointed and called you fulfill HIS GOOD PURPOSE?

Do you know the Great, I am has given you dominion, multiplication and to subdue the the land?

Do you know the Great, I am knew you before you were in your mother's womb?

Do you know the Great, I am has considered your affliction, sorrow, and mourning (Isaiah 61)?

Please ponder today about, I AM THAT AM!  Any challenge in our human life can go before the Great, I AM and the matter will be in our favor and victorious in our lives!  ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Know the God you serve. If you don't know Him, look in His word and extract His characteristics, personality in His Word. Reflect upon your life and ask God to identify those moments, where He showed HIMSELF to be the Great, I AM.  I love the fact, that conveys His works, then and now.

Be blessed in the name of Jesus!

Ask

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7 KJV

Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh findenth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  Matthew 7:7-8

We will always have concerns, trials, challenges, and Lord knows whatever else...lol..however, in the bible it states when we OBEY God's commandment, REPENT (confess our sins and try our best effort to depart from our sinful ways) we will get what we want!  Hold on for a second!  What are you asking for?

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart!  Psalm 37:4 NIV

Let us ask for BIG and small things that will glorify HIM! Let us wait patiently! Please don't take matters in your own hands, when the wait feels longer than what you expected. While your waiting, study your bible, pray, serve, fast, and spend more time with the God ALONE. See what will happen? The best is yet to come!

Be blessed in the name of Jesus.

Perception

For God has not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

Believe God has overcome the spirit of fear, even when our emotions do not match up with our faith. My friend made a valid point about our perceptions. Perceptions can stem from our environments, learned behaviors, experiences, and social interactions.

How do you perceive God?

What has influenced your perceptions of God?

Just know your perception of God can guide your decisions and prayers. What I challenge you to do is compare and contrast your perception of God to the Word of God. God explains and tells us who He is. Are you believing Him for ALL He can do and give to you?

BELIEVE in what GOD has given you and then ACT, especially when it doesn't align with your EXPECTATIONS.

What are the outcomes when we react with a fear?

What are the outcomes when we react with faith?

Just something to think about.

Be blessed in the name of Jesus.

Favor and High Esteem

My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;
For length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.
Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem, in the sight of God and man.

Proverbs 3:1 -5

Yesterday, I attended a bible study about Esther.  I almost cried twice because the speaker explained what do you do when you are necessarily hearing God's speak in a particular UNCOMFORTABLE circumstance. Have you ever been in a situation where you unsure what is happening? Just know this...God is control. He has placed you in the position and is with you. So when we are uncertain what God's plan is...rely on your faith based upon what God has shown you through his commandments, other life experiences, and other victorious. Believe who God has said who you are in Him. Don't forget you have a destiny.

It's Good

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:6

God will COMPLETE the task. Did He not create everything in six days and rested on the seventh day?  What did He say afterwards?

And God had saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.  Genesis 1:31a KJV

Although there are patches in our lives where we are uncertain of God's plan, just know it is good. What God has in stored for us it's not just for ourselves but for others too.

Concerned

What shall we do when we are concerned?Check out Nehemiah's account in the following scripture about his concerns. We see, he is deeply concerned but rather than complain, grumble, blame, or dismiss his emotional turmoil, he turned to God through praying and fasting. Notice how he prays to God. Extremely powerful. He gives honor and praise to God Almighty, confesses his sins and those he is praying for and reflects upon the God's word (what he already knew about the current events and solution). Soon after, Nehemiah takes action and begins rebuilding for God's glory.

Let us all turn to God FIRST with prayer and fasting regarding our concerns.

Nehemiah 1: 1-11 KJV

v.1 The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,

v.2 that Hanani, one of my brethern, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped. which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
v.3  And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in province are in great affliction and reproach; the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

v.4  And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

v.5 And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments;

v.6 Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee; both I and my father's house have sinned.

v.7 We have dealt corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statues, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.

v. 8 Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations;

v.9 But if ye turn unto, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from hence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

v. 10 Now these are thy servants and thy people. whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

v.11 O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name; and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.

No Condemnation!

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit! Romans 8:1 KJV

The Holy Spirit CONVICTS us when we have sin, so that we will repent and turn from our wicked ways. We feel "sorry" for what we have done against God, not shameful. We have simply disobeyed the God's commandments in our lives. Once we recognize our faults, we can come to God, asking for forgiveness.

Shame and guilt have the tendencies to make us shy away from God, rather than draw close to Him. Satan will use an accusatory tone in order for you to think and speak negatively. He wants you to REFUSE and REJECT God's love for you.

And he shewd me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee; is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.

And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment (clothing).
Zechariah 3: 1-4

Thank God for His grace and mercy!  Make no mistakes, God has removed our filth and made us clean through His wonderful forgiveness!  We must do our best not to fall or walk in the Satan's same ole' traps . When we become frustrated when doing things God's way, let us not grow impatient.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 KJV

Let's Get Out There!

For through we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

1 Corinthians 13: 3 - 5

What does this mean exactly?  Satan places thoughts in our mind to tempt us to sin. He is extremely deceptive, subtle, and cunning in these pursuits.  However, God didn't make it where we just sit there and just take Satan's nonsense. God renews our minds and through the Holy Spirit we are able to tackle that evil/ wicked thought by replacing it with the word of God. Simple as that!  Therefore, we have to study the word of God for ourselves so can fight back. What a powerful weapon against Satan.

Submit yourselves to the Lord, resist the Devil and he shall flee from you.
James 4:7

Begin to command the day! Declare and speak the word of God aloud. State who you are in the body of Christ. Let Satan and his gang know, you are standing your ground in the Lord.

Ephesians 3:16, states, That he (Jesus)  would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Can we get excited for the one we serve??? HALLELUJAH!

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to the head over all things to the church,

which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 1: 21 - 22

Everything is under his feet. No more excuses! We got a job to to do! Jesus died for our sins, rose on the third day, and resurrected with power and authority.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28:18-19

We got jobs to do in the God's Kingdom.

Distractions

Have you prayed for something for a LOOOONNNGGG time and finally you received what you wanted. However, soon after, within the next 3 to 6 months, you began to complain, ask for something else, believe the grass is greener on the other side, or become jealous over someone else's opportunity, current situation, etc. Well, my friend you have become distracted.

Therefore, be aware of distractions in your life!  If you don't now what they are, ask God to show you them right now!!!!Your distractions will open the doors of confusion, indecisiveness, jealousy, impatience, discontentment, anger, disobedience, and setback. The Israelites had quickly forgotten about God's goodness shortly after leaving Egypt (place of bondage).  Once they entered into the wilderness, their praise and worship transformed into bickering and whining.

In Psalm 106, the bible states in verses 13  KJV, They soon forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel . . . . . .

What ungratefulness!  Take Heed! Receive the Warning from this example!  Anytime we begin to have unappreciative attitudes, most likely we'll make detrimental mistakes. We tend to forget what God has delivered us from and go on a "Woe is Me" episode. Why? We start to rely on our own understanding, in what to do and how to do it; which is never a good idea, because we get impatient.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thin own understanding. In all thy way acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path. Proverbs 3: 5- 6

Let's go back in the Old Testament. Did not Sarah (Abraham's wife) decided to take matters in her own hands because of impatience. She told Abraham conceive with a child with another woman.  Now, God had told her, a son would come from her body, but rather than WAIT, she complicated things in a major way. Read Genesis 21.

Back to our main example, in Psalm 106, verse 14, the bible states, "But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tested God in the desert. What did they ask for?  Food and water ( Exodus 19). Plus, a false god  known as the golden calf. (Exodus 32:7-8). Really?

What are you asking for in your discontentment and forgetfulness?  Are you allowing God to lead you in the destiny He has for based upon trust? Are you fearing the new places God has planned or your life? Are you becoming restless on your journey? Are you idolizing a false gods due to the influence others around you?  Are you rebelling against God?

In conclusion, we can't FORGET God's work, PERIOD!  Our forgetfulness is a subtle tactic, Satan will use against us. We must PRAISE the Lord, so we will simply remember ALL God has done for us!

What is God telling you to do now? If we do not see the manifestation of His promises we must believe and accept the waiting period. This doesn't mean we are just sitting on our behinds and twiddling our thumbs. We should actively praise, worship, pray, study the bible, and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ during every moment in our lives. Receive God's instruction, learn His principles. Recognize consecration.

Our God is faithful forever! HALLELUJAH!

God remembers His holy promise, and Abraham His servant. Psalm 105:42

Heartache turned into JOY

Glory to the Lamb!

v.1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

v. 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

v. 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that might be glorified.

Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV

Let's face it, a broken heart is painful. But Jesus was sent to heal our hearts.  We can aimlessly walk in life, even with a great job, wonderful family, money in the bank, cars in the garage, or able to go as we please and still wonder in gloom or despair momentarily because of roots of our brokenness.  Events in our lives have caused disappointment, anger or sadness.  When we sweep frustration, bitterness, resentment, anger, misery, heartache or our sins under the rug, we find ourselves in bondage. This bondage affects you and others too.  Consequently, sorrow appears.  Here is the good news!

God cares for you!  He wants you to have joy. He will give you JOY!  It is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Read Isaiah 61:1-3 again.

Do you see and receive the obvious? Jesus was sent to do the following:
  • Bind up the brokenhearted!
  • Proclaim liberty to the captives (those of us who stuck in a place we don't want to be)
  • Opening up the prison who are bound (break you out of spiritual bondage that causes your distress)
  • Oil of joy for the mourning
  • Garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness
There is an exchange, Hallelujah with Jesus! He turns sorrow and mourning into JOY! FOR EVERYONE, when acknowledge His purpose. No one is excluded.
God has already done the work, just trust in Him to do what He says. Stop running, hiding, or existing!

Be blessed in Jesus name.

God's Counsel

The counsel of the Lord, standeth forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Psalms 33:11 KJV

There are many devices ((plans) in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. Proverbs 19:21 KJV

Be on guard, before making a decision seek the Lord's counsel about EVERYTHING under the sun.  We are living in the last days, deception is all around. Without receiving, understanding, knowledge, and wisdom from God, how are we to know what to do and how to do it?  We simply can't. Human declarations, are just not good enough. We need to hear from the Lord about the matter. Therefore, rather than give decisive answers, ponder for awhile, wait on the Lord and then give your response or make complete the action. We are living in a time, where one wrong move (well it has been like this from the beginning of time.....Adam and Eve), can change our lives. Be mindful of what the Lord is showing you.  If you don't know, simply ask the Lord.  He is not the author of confusion.

Jesus Loves You...He Died For Your Sins...Salvation is Yours...Just Believe!

For God so loved the world, that he gave to his begotten son, whomever believes in him shall have eternal life. John 3:16 NIV

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isaiah 55:6 - 7 KJV

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Romans 12:3

God has given you faith to believe! What do you believe? What do you have faith in? We all are sinners according to God's word. God has forgiven us through Jesus Christ. Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins? Do you believe he rose from the dead and is alive?  If, so you are saved.

 If not, keep reading....We can't get around this question, no matter what!  Our good works unto men, women, and children, positive meditation, and humble hearts without FAITH in Jesus Christ has the one being sent from heaven above for the redemption of our sins.

In Hebrews 11:1 KJV, states, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  Hebrews 11:6 KJV, reiterates, But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a REWARDER of them that diligently seek him.

Simple. Right? YES and YES and YES!  It is the truth. Let the Lord Jesus Christ come in your heart by believing in Him, as your Lord and Savior. Confessing you are a sinner, acknowledging that He shed his blood for the remissions of your sins. YOU ARE SAVED!

If you already believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, be obedient to God's Word.

This will be the NUMBER ONE encouragements given by Just Appeal. Please accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, right now, today if you haven't already. Don't doubt or fear! Be fulfilled today!

Restored!

For when I am weak, I am strong. In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul described a "thorn" in his side that he pleaded for God to release it from him.  God told him, "...my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." God's word and answers can we restore us if we let Him. OH WHAT A BLESSING!  If we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. We just can't just stop, go, pause, go, within our relationship with Him.  For Jesus Christ, has REDEEMED us from sin forever. No need for separation now. Come on!

Okay back to the story, so after Paul's request, God said the following in verse nine, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." We shouldn't feel ashamed when we are weak but completely REST, LEAN OVER, FALL in God's arms. After, God gave his answer, Paul's attitude drastically changed from begging to rejoicing. Confidence came over him. He then says, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."  And Paul concludes, "Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." The same should be for you. Rather than complain and grumble, let us rejoice in the one who has SAVED US, JESUS CHRIST.

Whatever is ailing you, don't let it prevent you for reaching your God given destiny, created before the foundations of the world. Keep it moving! Eyes on the prize.....God's word!

Jesus states, in Matthew 4:4, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." FEAST ON GOD'S WORD to propel.

Be Blessed in the name of Jesus Christ!

Pray without Ceasing

Don't you give up, no matter what challenges you are facing.  Keep praying!
Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV.

God answers prayer. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16 KJV

We fail to see how Satan and his fallen angels (demons, because they too disobeyed God) are fighting HARD against us  (believers in Jesus Christ). You are a solider in the army of the Lord and we can't retreat.  God is on the throne, His promises are true, but you just can't just sit there, go with the flow, get captured in sin. Sin has consequences. Submit yourselves to God. Resist from the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7 KJV

The enemy, Satan, doesn't care about your age, background, culture, and gender, he uses anybody to cause you to fail and activate disobedience towards God's laws/principles.  Satan doesn't want you to succeed in ANYTHING that God has orchestrated for your good purpose.  Don't forget that.  Satan and evil spirits will cause you to divert from EVERYTHING GOOD God has planned for your well-being, not only you but those who are connected to you.  For this primary reasons, you need to STAND on the FIRM FOUNDATION of God's Word. God is faithful, regardless if you are. Thank Jesus Christ we are able to repent for our sins, transgressions washed away with the BLOOD OF JESUS.  Now you may say think to yourself, "I don't know...". Well, here is the solution. In the name of Jesus, the name before every name, bind the spirit of doubt, worry, indecisiveness, and stagnation. In the name of Jesus, loose the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Wisdom is one of the greatest treasures from Heaven.

It's not the time to sit down, lay around, lackadaisically in the dominion God has given to us when he created man and woman. Just know this, if God loves you and Satan hates you.  Satan doesn't want you to fulfill your destiny. God has planned your destiny.  When we think of our destiny, we tend to think of it being so BIG, which it is, however let us just focus on the day to day Destiny. What can we accomplish today for the Lord? Each step will take us to our expected end, according to Jeremiah 29:11 KJV.
