Glory to the Lamb!
v.1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
v. 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
v. 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that might be glorified.

Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV
Let's face it, a broken heart is painful. But Jesus was sent to heal our hearts. We can aimlessly walk in life, even with a great job, wonderful family, money in the bank, cars in the garage, or able to go as we please and still wonder in gloom or despair momentarily because of roots of our brokenness. Events in our lives have caused disappointment, anger or sadness. When we sweep frustration, bitterness, resentment, anger, misery, heartache or our sins under the rug, we find ourselves in bondage. This bondage affects you and others too. Consequently, sorrow appears. Here is the good news!
God cares for you! He wants you to have joy. He will give you JOY! It is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Read Isaiah 61:1-3 again.
Do you see and receive the obvious? Jesus was sent to do the following:
- Bind up the brokenhearted!
- Proclaim liberty to the captives (those of us who stuck in a place we don't want to be)
- Opening up the prison who are bound (break you out of spiritual bondage that causes your distress)
- Oil of joy for the mourning
- Garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness
There is an exchange, Hallelujah with Jesus! He turns sorrow and mourning into JOY! FOR EVERYONE, when acknowledge His purpose. No one is excluded.
.
God has already done the work, just trust in Him to do what He says. Stop running, hiding, or existing!
Be blessed in Jesus name.
